Todd Travers, CFA co-founded OnPoint in 2018. OnPoint facilitates capital formation and private investment in transactions arranged by high quality sponsors across industry sectors. OnPoint provides exemplary sponsors with much needed capital formation bandwidth by forming, managing, and funding investment vehicles in partnership with them, often as a “fundlesssponsor”. Todd also serves on the Board of Directors of North Texas Community Development Corporation, which originates loans to small businesses under the SBA’s 504 loan program.

 

Todd was previously a Managing Director at the Mitchell Group where he directed the Mitchell Group’s efforts in Oil & Gas mineral funds and served on the investment committee of the Mitchell Group’s first mineral fund. He also served as Partner and President of PetroCapital Group, where he was responsible for management of PetroCapital Group’s investment funds in Oil & Gas investing and served on the funds’ investment committees.

Prior to that, Todd was a Partner and Sr. Portfolio Manager of Highland Capital Management, LP (“Highland”) and had responsibilities spanning all disciplines of alternative asset management. He was instrumental in building Highland into one of the largest diversified alternative asset management companies. At Highland, Todd’s efforts focused on below investment grade fixed income assets classes including senior secured loans, middle market loans, high yield bonds, and CLO tranches. He ran Highland’s $28.5 billion CDO platform and was responsible for overall management and performance of the funds, including portfolio construction, buy and sell decisions, structuring, and capital formation.

Todd received a BS in Engineering from Iowa State University, an MBA from Southern Methodist University, and has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Reed Williams, M.D. co-founded OnPoint in 2018. OnPoint facilitates capital formation and private investment in transactions arranged by high quality sponsors across industry sectors. OnPoint provides exemplary sponsors with much needed capital formation bandwidth by forming, managing, and funding investment vehicles in partnership with them, often as a “fundless sponsor”. Reed also serves on the Board of Directors of OsteoCentric Technologies, Inc. 

 

Reed is Dallas native, father of five. After graduating from Princeton University with a degree in Economics, he went on to receive his MD from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Reed began applying his efforts toward capital raises for medical, technology, and real estate ventures, including the formation and management of a medical device company. For the last 18 years, Reed has focused on debt and equity capital formation for an extensive series of real estate development ventures and has been planning, designing and managing high-quality real estate ventures as an accomplished real estate developer in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

From 2000 to 2017, Reed was an officer of LandPlanDevelopment and served as Director of Medical Development, where he helped to develop the Baylor Medical Center at Frisco Campus and the Methodist Hospital Campus at Southlake. Reed also worked to develop medical office buildings, ambulatory surgery centers, assisted living centers and other medically-related projects. In his capacity at LandPlan, Reed also worked extensively on the development, zoning and planning of commercial retail shopping centers, senior-living communities, hotels, office buildings, multifamily properties, mixed use commercial developments, student housing developments and residential communities.
